Address Negative Affect Through Physical State First

Do not automatically turn negative affect into a full emotional narrative; sometimes the productive move is to address the physical-state issue first. Examples given include checking for sleep loss, eating, walking, or stretching.

Sometimes it's good not to turn, it's productive not to turn that negative affect into an emotion... Sometimes you just need to deal with the affective problem by dealing with the physical, your physical state.
